Bottoms Up!

I love all things Spring:
New life, colors, fragrance, and the coming
of warmer weather.

is just one of the cute file that
Kadoodle Bug Designs has for
Easter and Spring.

For my project with this file that would make a darling
card, I made it so that the bottom of the chick wiggled.
I used an Action Wobble to achieve this.

I duplicated the base, bottom, tail, legs, and feet.
These pieces became the bottom that I placed on the Wobble.
I trimmed that duplicated piece so that it was only under the bottom and tail pieces.

Easter Egg Lamb Cuteness

Have you ever made a layout by using a grid that you made?
For my project today, I am going to show you how.

I used two different files from Kadoodle Bug Designs, some
basic shapes and some other things from Cricut Design Space.
The KDB files that I used are
(any sun would work but I liked this one and I already had the file).

Instructions:
  1. Insert one square size 11.5". Duplicate it.
  2. Insert another shape that you want to use to make the grid. I started out with squares and made some into rectangles. Make sure the big initial square and the other shapes you use are different colors.
  3. Lay them on top of your big square. These will become the cut out places in your grid.
  4. Once you have them laid out where you want them, slice them into the big square. Make sure slice them out after you have them all where you want them in case you need to move them.
  5. Discard the sliced out pieces
  6. I chose different simple images from Cricut Design Space to add other shapes to the grid. You will only need the bottom piece of the image chosen so ungroup it and discard the rest of it.
  7. The base piece is what you will need for the KBD file so ungroup and then duplicate the base piece (it's usually grey.)
  8. Duplicate all the pieces you plan to weld to the gride. This is necessary so they will be the same size when you decorate them with the other pieces (the color ones). Don't change the sizes of the files one you have the welded as they would line up correctly.
  9. Place those pieces where you want them in the grid. I used the base piece (Easter Egg Lamb), words happy and easter, text 2018, egg shape, bunny shape, and a sentiment from a card that I stretch out tall. They will need to touch the grid.
  10. Select the grid and the shape (one at a time) and weld them together. You will add their pieces.
  11. Glue grid onto 12 x 12 piece of cardstock.
  12. Assemble the color pieces onto the grid.
  13. Embellish and add photos and journaling.

Sweet Friend Mrs. Egghead

Tonight I made a fun card with the digi
Mrs. Egghead from Bloobel.

The card base I made by using Crafters Companion dies.

Bloobel has several other egghead stamps:
Mr. Egghead
Dog Egghead
Cat Egghead and
Baby Egghead.

You're the BOMB!

Today I made another shape card set using the file:

Instructions:
Ungroup the pieces
Duplicate the base piece
Move the duplicated piece away from the other pieces
Duplicate it again
Flip that piece
Insert a square that you have turned to a rectangle
With the duplicated pieces, move them a bit apart so when they are folded on to each other, they can do so freely without their sides folding over the other (See the picture of the part circled blue).
Weld the rectangle to the duplicated pieces.
Insert and attach a score line vertically in the center of the newly formed piece.
Fold in half at the scoreline.
Glue pieces to the folded piece.

This can be applied to any file you wish to use.

Little Love Bugs!

Today I have more cuteness for you.

Little Love Bugs is a new file from
Kadoodle Bug Designs.

When I was little my mom had some China dolls that had bobbleheads.
I can remember making the heads bounce.
When I saw the Little Love Bugs file, I
could see their heads bobbling up and down and around like
my mom's dolls did.

I cut to black pieces (used to glue the pieces on) of the boy and girl.
I glued the head on one and cut the rest off that I didn't glue on. For the girl I cut two the hair pieces and glued them to the back piece also.
I put a Wobble Spring on the back of their heads and attached them to the back pieces.

(I apologize for the sideways video. I am not great with videos yet.)

I added ink to the edges, Stickles to some parts, and 3D foam squares for more dimension.

The Wobble springs could be used on many of the Kadoodle Bug Design files.
Can't wait to see what you create.

Wheelie Love You!!!

I have a cute little hamster that is full of love
to share with you.

I used the Wheelie Love You file
recently released by Kadoodle Bug Designs.

I took the wheel the hamster is in and turned it
into a shaker. I cut the red ring 6 times with red cardstock
(you could use chipboard and cut it fewer times) and once out of red glitter cardstock. I then cut the white part a snitch bigger out of acetate to cover it so the Sequins would stay in it. I put the acetate between the regular cardstock and the acetate.
I used Red and Turquoise (to coordinate with the background paper) sequins for the stuff to
shake in the shaker. The rest of it I made as I
usually do with glue, 3D foam squares, Stickles and Ink for the edges.

Can't wait to see what you make with this cute file.
