Western Cuties - Utah or Bust

I live in Utah. We celebrate Pioneer Day.
Pioneer Day is the anniversary of the
day the Mormon, Latter Day Saints,
entered the Salt Lake, Utah Valley.
That day was July 24, 1847.
They had walked pulling and pushing handcarts, rode on covered wagons pulled by oxen and horses, or rode on horses. Many lives were lost as they traveled from the East of the continental US and some by ship from England.

To create my layout about Pioneer Day, I used
I changed the cowboy hat on the girl to a bonnet like
those worn by the female pioneers.
I also added a covered wagon and wagon wheel borders.
I got the bonnet, covered wagon, and wagon wheels
from Cricut Design Space.

Fairy Houses

I decided it was time for some fun and
created the Butterfly, Dragonfly, and Honey Bee
fairy luminary houses from Dreaming Tree.
They were really fun to create.

Magnolia Manor

I tackled a huge challenge.
I made the Magnolia Manor from SVG Cuts.
It is beautiful with many many details.

It is a luminary. A battery tea light
or other lights can be placed in the house
so that it looks like lights are on in the house.

Snuggle Palz Bunny

Some of the CUTEST files can be
found in Cuddly Cute Designs.
For this project, I use Snuggle Palz Bunny.

They look so "Snuggly" that you can imagine snuggling up with
them.

I used a foiled sentiment on an oval with flowers
arranged around it. The flowers are from
Wild Orchid Crafts.

Nativity Trileptic

For this project, I used three different files,
Nativity, Shepherd, and Wisemen.

I adhered the background paper to cardboard that
was in the packaging from a paper pack. The paper
I used was from DCWV. It is of an evening sky in the Holylands. The paper behind the wise men is a distressed piece of dark brown since the wise men came from far away.

I arranged the pieces to look like a nativity that one
might arrange of ceramic type pieces.

The cardboard pieces are kept together with strips of paper thatcan fold in on each other. One piece is cut an inch smaller so that when
it folds flat it will not make the piece on top of it have a hard time
laying flat.

Hope you have fun making yours!

USA Bear - Boy and Girl Bear

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July (for those of you in the
United States).

I created this layout using two patriotic files called
I added some other elements that I had
to complete the layout.

May all your days be patriotic with your country
in mind and what you can do to make it
better.

Mechanic Cuties

One thing that car owners always seem to need is
car repairs.
Fortunately for us, my oldest son is
going to college to be a mechanic. He about
a little less than a year left before he
graduates.

For this layout, I used Mechanic Cuties.
Whether I use it for my son's graduation
or for some needed car repair story,
I can use it to preserve those experiences.

Dinosaur Cuties - Girls

I have a dynamite layout to share with you today.

I used the file Dinosaur Cuties - Girls  to
make this layout.

My boys love dinosaurs so what better way
to remember those days than with a
cute dinosaur layout.

Creative Kuts June Train Cards

Making cards designed by Creative Kutz
is so fun. Some are challenging and others are
not.

Here are the ones from the June card train:

Military Bears

I'm Proud to Be an American!

American pride runs in my blood.

This project is made using the file Military Bears.
I added more stars to be photo mats.
I also used the words from Lee Greenwood,
I'm Proud to be an American in the journaling on the
white stars.
I am a fan for adding dimensions with foam squares/dots and
shading on the edges.
The paper is some I had in my stash from when I designed my
father's military scrapbook years ago.

I hope you all have a safe and
Happy 4th of July!

Career Cuties Mailman and Lady

Ever get an idea in your mind and you pray that it works out?
I sure do and many times it doesn't work.
However, this one did.

I have letters my son wrote to me while he was in boot camp for the Navy.
When I saw the Career Cuties Mailman_Lady I knew what I wanted to do.
LOL, I increased their size but didn't realize they were going to be THIS BIG.
It's ok though.

I needed a mom sitting at the table and grabbed a girl from Cuddly Cute Designs (any girl will work)
and put her behind a desk from an image from Cricut Design Space.
The empty spot is for one of his letters. Can't wait to use it.
